The kids started back in school just recently and I'm trying to hit the gym every week day now. MWF cardio+strength training and TTh just cardio. I really want to get down to 130 or even 125!

Some changes--some good and some a little higher. I haven't lost as much weight as I've wanted, but it's been a month of Vacations. Also it IS down so that is still progress. I'm just keeping doing what I'm doing.

Though I did/do have the flu so I haven't eaten anything or drank really in 24ish hours. So perhaps the weight loss isn't really so dramatic.

At one point in the I got as low as 155 (28.3 BMI). But I have had some setbacks. I had my gall bladder taken out which has thrown me a bit off. I had to restart the medication as it made me too sick to take the full dose. I have just now arrived at the full dosage again. So, I hope to be back in progress. We also recently got a gym membership which I hope will really help to make the measurements smaller or at least make me visually tighter/smaller. All in all, good work Brittany.
Also--apparently my actual highest was 177, according to the doctor's office--so note the change in that.

So, not a whole lot has changed, but for my BMI I'm not longer considered "obese". Now I've fallen into the overweight category! *Celebrates*
And I think I"ve been measuring my bust differently. I think it may actually be 40 and not 38 because I realized I was measuring the wrong part--but that's still progress.

New Meds

On April 4 I started new medication. It's called victoza. On April 5th I had a rotten awful day. It was horrible. I had taken too much. The medication must be eased into. Otherwise it causes rotten awful nausea. So I backed off and have been working my way up. It's working really well.
One of the side effects is that it helps you to feel fuller sooner, or a lack of appetite. I've really noticed this. Since taking the new meds here are the new stats--Parenthesis are last week; brackets are from the start.:

Not bad, I say. I take the medication in the evening so it will be "strongest" when I want to do those late night snackings. It seems to help with that.

Slow and steady right? I hurt my back and so I haven't done much the last two days. It is also very discouraging. I may have to take another mental health day because with results like these I feel like quitting.

Anyway, I took some disgusting pictures of my stomach. I'd been doing ab workouts and I really think there's already been improvement. But here's a sort of starting point.

I stuck to the diet (and have so far today) except for on Sunday. I needed a mental health day. I had a good breakfast but things went downhill from after church....
I feel a bit more hopeful.

Week 2

Well this is depressing--
I weigh 175 which means my BMI is still 32

Thigh: 25.5"

So, as you can tell I haven't lost anything.
Plus someone asked me if I was pregnant this week--and it wasn't a stranger.

I've stuck to my diet. If anything I've had less carbs.
This is very disappointing to me.
Perhaps next week will be better.

Starting Off 2013

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes shortly after my third pregnancy. What started as a temporary thing (gestational diabetes) became a lifelong thing--something that would change my lifestyle. I am a sugaraholic. LOVE carbs. But shortly after I was diagnosed I stuck to the diet my doctor suggested and over the coarse of like a year I lost 50 pounds.
Well, 2 more babies later I've lost my way and gained nearly all my weight back.
So, 2013 will be different. There will be no pregnancies to distract me. No breastfed babies that require me to cater my diet to them. It's me time.
So today--January 1, 2013 I shall mark as the beginning of my progress. Here are the stats:
I weigh 175 lbs
My BMI is 32
My chest measurement: 41"
waist: 36"
hips: 40.5"
neck: 14.5"
arm: 13.5"
thigh: 25"
This is what I look like:

I can't remember the exact dietary restrictions I was on last time, so I'm hoping to start with this:
Breakfast: 30c
Snack: 15c
Lunch: 45c
Snack: 15c
Dinner: 60c
Snack 15c

So, hopefully by sticking to these restrictions (with a few exceptions--my birthday, valentine's, anniversary....) I shall at least feel more energized and better about myself.
